I'm trying to meet up with an old friend (and we're both kind of into each other), but I've been really scared of asking my parents to drive me bc my dad always sounds mean when he talks so I'm afraid of talking to him and my mom won't even let me sit in my room with my best friend (a gay male) with the door closed. Ahh my parents are like that with my friend too;; idk if would work or not but you could try asking your dad when he’s in a good mood so that it would be less scary to talk to him
